Not In My City, Not In My State Rally

The issue of human trafficking is one of the most unifying issues of our time — and it is the fastest growing crime. The Not in My City, Not in My State Campaign brings people together in agreement. It is a multi-city movement being developed to engage local communities who want to use their time, talent, and treasure to fight the issue of human trafficking.

Human trafficking negatively affects many communities, and Sacramento is no exception. Community leaders and activists have come together, and Sacramento is now leading the fight to combat human trafficking. We are positioned to lead the nation in taking back our CITY (and county) and restoring our reputation as a city.

The goal for 2016 is to bring momentum to this campaign on National Human Trafficking Awareness Day — January 11, 2016, at Sacramento City Hall at 11am.There will be a brief press conference and reading of the city and county proclamation. Community and government leaders, faith based groups, businesses, schools, non-profits and more are coming together…anyone wanting to declare, “We will not tolerate anyone in our city being exploited and/or sold in any manner under our watch.   Join us — rain or shine!

If you would like to be a part of this movement in Sacramento or help bring your city together, email us at notinmycity@courageworldwide.org and find us on Facebook at Not in My City, Not in My State to learn more.  You can help spread the word on social media with hashtags #Notinmycity #Notinmystate #Notinmycounty and tag Courage Worldwide.
